INSTRUCTIONS REGARDING REGISTRATION, ADMISSION AND WITHDRAWAL

  1. Every student seeking admission to any class has to be registered by filling up a prescribed Registration form which can be obtained from the office.
  2. Every candidate for admission must be introduced in person by parent or guardian who will stand responsible for his / her conduct, application to studies and fees.
  3. Children seeking admission to L K G class and 1st standard should have completed three and half (3½) years and five (5) years of age on first June respectively.
  4. Candidate coming from other schools must pass the entrance test before admission and they have to produce Transfer Certificate. The decision of the principal will be final in matters regarding tests and admission.
  5. The name of the student, father’s name and date of birth of the student, given at the time of admission should invariably tally with that given in the Transfer Certificate. These details can be changed only with necessary government orders.
  6. Admission is made before the beginning of the academic year subjected to the availability of seats and on satisfying other conditions regarding admission.
  7. Pupil seeking admission to KG & 1st standard shall produce birth certificate and copy of Aadhar card.
  8. C will be issued only on submission of a written application from the parents or guardian.
  9. C will not be issued till all dues to the school are fully paid.

GENERAL RULES

  1. Classes commence at 9:30 am and end at 3:45 pm. Students shall reach school before 9:20 am.
  2. Students are expected to maintain silence during study time up to 9.30am.
  3. Students should keep their books properly covered with brown paper and keep them neat and clean.
  4. Students should come to school with their prescribed uniform. On Wednesdays they should wear White uniform.
  5. Irregular attendance, habitual negligence in curricular , dishonesty, obscenity in word or act, serious misconduct or threats inside or outside of the school are considered as serious offences for which students will be held responsible.
  6. Students are not allowed to wear ornaments or bring cell phones, cameras etc. Students are advised not to keep cash /cheque/ other valuable items with them. The school will not be responsible for any loss.
  7. Students while moving from class to class, to assembly ground, laboratory, library, playground etc. should maintain silence and order.
  8. It is compulsory to be present in school on all important occasions.
  9. If any lost property is found, it should be handed over to the office.

10 All the belongings of the school shall be taken care off. Students shall reframe from causing damage to any furniture, building or any properties.

  1. The loss of the school property will be recovered from the student concerned.
  2. Students shall show respect and reverence to teaching and non-teaching staffs. Their behavior inside and outside the school premises shall be praise worthy.
  3. Students are forbidden to organize, attend any meeting in the school, collect money for any purpose and circulate any notice among themselves without prior permission from the principal.
  4. Pupil suffering from any contagious or infectious disease will not be allowed to attend the school.
  5. All students and parents shall make themselves acquainted with the rules and regulations regarding their conduct. Ignorance of rules will not be accepted as an excuse.
  6. Students shall always maintain an academic atmosphere in the Classroom.
  7. Pupil shall greet the teachers when he or she meets them in the class as well as anywhere else.
  8. Pupils are not allowed to enter other classrooms or staff room without permission. Pupil may change their places in the classroom only with the permission of the class teacher.
  9. No pupil can leave the school premises without the permission of the principal when the school is in session.
  10. Students who continuously fail to show interest and progress in studies will incur disciplinary action.
  11. In all foreseen occasions of leave or illness students shall obtain leave from the principal in advance. Leave application for illness must be validated by a medical practitioner.
  12. Pupils are responsible for the safe custody of their books and belongings.

RULES REGARDING SCHOOL LIBRARY

  1. Perfect silence, order and discipline must be always maintained in the library.
  2. The library will be opened from 9.30 am to 4.30 pm on all working days.
  3. All students of Std V to X can borrow books from the library.
  4. Books from the reference section cannot be taken out of the library.
  5. Exchange of the library books between students is not permitted.
  6. On receiving a library book from the librarian, pupils are expected to examine it and report if any damage is noticed. Otherwise, they will be responsible for the damage.
  7. Students are permitted to carry only note-book and pen to the library.
  8. In case of loss or damage of a book, double price of the book will be obtained from the concerned student.
  9. No pupil shall write or mark in the library book.
  10. Books shall be returned after one week. It can be renewed for another week on the due date.
  11. Students are encouraged to take and return books preferably during the library periods.
  12. All books borrowed from the library should be returned one week before the terminal and annual examinations.
  13. Students shall not keep books back on the shelves bythemselves. The librarian will keep the books back in the shelves.

RULES REGARDING ABSENCE AND LEAVE

  1. No leave of absence will be sanctioned except for valid reasons with written application from parents or guardian. Parents will have to enter the details of absence on the diary and submit the medical certificate if the leave is on medical grounds.
  2. No leave will be sanctioned during classtests, terminal/ annual examinations except on medical ground.
  3. All leave applications must be recorded in the pages meant for the same in this diary.
  4. Continuous absence for more than 15 days without proper information will result in removal of the pupil’s name from the school register. Re-admission cannot be claimed as a matter of right.

CO - CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

St. Joseph’s High School Pushpagiri conducts a number of activities such as sports&games, drawing&paintings, dance &music, personality development programme, seminars, workshops and various skill development programmes, for children’s integral growth. Participation in these activities help every child to discover and draw out the best in him/her. It is highly recommended that children’s actively participate in these co-curricular activities.

MORAL INSTRUCTIONS

We give moral instructions to create a personality which is morally upright, physically sound, intellectually advanced and emotionally balanced.

RECOMENDATION TO PARENTS AND GUARDIANS

Parents and guardians are requested to co-operate with the school in the observance of all the rules and regulations. Parents are requested to keep in touch with the head of the institutions and teachers regarding the progress, attendance and conduct of their children.

  1. Parents/ guardians are requested to co-operate with the school authorities by taking interest in the progress of their children and ensuring regularity, punctuality and discipline.
  2. Attending the Parent-Teachers meeting (PTA Meeting) as well as other important functions of the school are mandatory for parents. No excuse for ignorance of information communicated during parent teachers meeting will beaccepted.
  3. Criticism of teachers and the school in the presence of the students should be avoided. Those who wish to seek any clarification, information or make any suggestion or complaint should do them directly to the Principal in a polite manner.
  4. When the school is in session, parents are not expected to visit their children or teachers without the permission of the Principal. Parents may meet the teachers on all working days from 3.40 pm to 4.10 pm with prior appointment.
  5. Parents are expected to co-operate with the school authorities by taking utmost interest in the activities of their children.
  6. Parents shall acknowledge and respond to all   all circulars, progressreports and answer sheets sent by the school after each classtest and terminal examination by signing them as directed. Failure to do this will cause unnecessary inconvenience to the child.
  7. Parents are not permitted to take away their children during class hours except inemergency cases. Parents shall get permission from the Principal to take their children directly or an authorization letter.
  8. Parents are requested to check the diary regularly and they are responsible for the negligence of information communicated in the diary.
  9. Parents are not permitted to give any gifts to any member of teaching/non-teaching staff of the school.
  10. Make sure that your child is punctual and regular to school. Regular late-coming will be considered as a serious fault.
  11. You are welcomed to meet the Principal and discuss the performance of your child time to time.
  12. Admission or dismissal of the child will be fully based on the decision of the Principal.
  13. Parents shall attend class PTA without fail. The date and time of the meeting shall be informed either through the school dairy or by some other means of communications.
  14. There will be a proportional increase in the school fees which will be decided by the school management.
  15. The parents and guardians are kindly requested to look into the following matters:
    1. Send the children regularly on time.
    2. Make sure that children do their home work – assignments.
    3. Make a conducive ambiance at home for studies.
    4. Encourage students to participate in co curricular activities.
    5. Help children to develop  friendliness, etiquette benevolence, social concern and self – awareness in children.
    6. Pay school fees in three installments as specified in the prospectus and preserve the receipts. A fine of Rs.50/-for each term shall be collected from defaulters.

AMENDMENTS OF RULES

The principal/management has the right to introduce, amend or change these rules and regulations whenever necessity arises.
